X-Men First Class

Today I have been to see X-Men First Class.
The amazing origins of super-mutant Professor X - and his arch-nemesis Magneto!
It's 1963, and the young Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lansherr (Michael Fassbender) are beginning to discover their superpowers. Against a backdrop of civil unrest and the Cuban Missile Crisis, they join forces with other mutants to take on the greatest threat the world has even known. The international Hellfire Club boasts among its membership some of the most wealthy and influential members of society, including Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon) and Emma Frost (January Jones). But as they attempt to thwart the Club's world domination plans, a rift develops between Charles and Erik that will lead to them becoming bitter enemies as Professor X and Magneto. So begins the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men. Directed by Matthew Vaughn, 'X-Men: First Class' is the first film in a projected new trilogy tracing the origins of the hugely popular Marvel superheroes.
