The Five Year Engagement

Last night I went to see The Five Year Engagement.

A sparkling romantic comedy about a couple whose lives just keep getting in the way of their wedding!

It's love at first sight when Tom (Jason Segel) and Violet (Emily Blunt) meet at a New Year's Eve party in San Francisco. It seems they really are the perfect couple, destined to spend the rest of their lives together. One year later, Tom proposes and Violet accepts. Next stop the fairytale wedding. But there's one small problem. Psychologist Violet has just been offered a two-year academic post in Michigan. Swallowing his disappointment, sous chef Tom advises her to go for it. With the wedding on hold, the couple go about their busy lives. But little do they suspect the obstacles that are about to be placed in the way of happy ever after! 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' director Nicholas Stoller and star Jason Segel team up with 'Bridesmaids' producer Judd Apatow for this thoroughly modern romantic comedy.
