Today I have been to see 3D Prometheus.
In the late 21st century, a team led by archaeologist Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) discovers a 35,000 year-old cave painting on the Isle of Skye. It matches images drawn by other, unconnected early civilisations showing a distinctive star system. Shaw interprets this as an invitation, so a spacecraft is launched. After two years in cryogenic suspension, the crew awake above their target planet to be addressed by a hologram of billionaire backer Peter Weyland (Guy Pearce). Among them are Shaw, businesslike Weyland Corporation rep Meredith Vickers (Charlize Theron), advanced android David (Michael Fassbender) and Captain Janek (Idris Elba). But they're about to come face-to-face with a threat to the very future of mankind! 'Blade Runner' director Sir Ridley Scott's brilliant first film in 3D is a very loose prequel to his original 1979 'Alien'.
