Jeff Who Lives At Home

Last Thursday I went to see Jeff Who Lives At Home.

Quirky comedy about an aging slacker who sets out to discover his destiny!

Man-child Jeff (Jason Segel) thinks the universe is sending him signs about his fate. He lounges in the basement all day, while his long-suffering widowed mother Sharon (Susan Sarandon) works for a living. Jeff's brother Pat (Ed Helms) has long since flown the nest and now has a miserable job and a troubled relationship with wife Linda (Judy Greer). In an attempt to get Jeff out of the house, Sharon sends him on an errand to buy wood glue. Along the way, he runs into Pat. Since everything happens for a reason, this is clearly a signpost to his destiny! Then they spot Linda with another man and embark on a farcical mission to find out whether she's having an affair. This is a sweet-natured, offbeat comedy from the writer/directors of 'Cyrus', with another great comic performance by Jason Segel.
