Jamie (Gyllenhall) is a pharmaceutical salesman with a gift for selling the new drug Viagra - and an equal talent for selling himself to attractive young women. His considerable charms are useless, however, when he is confronted with the beautiful Maggie (Hathaway), a fascinating and alluring free spirit who won't let anything or anyone tie her down. They are both surprised by their growing feelings, but Maggie has a secret that will test their newfound love to its very limits. Director Edward Zwick, whose credits include Legends of the Fall and The Last Samurai, has crafted one of the romances of the year, sometimes hilarious, sometimes heartbreaking, but always captivating.
