We're The Millers

He figures the best way to avoid attracting attention during this mission is to recruit a squeaky-clean all-American family. Rose (Jennifer Aniston), the cynical stripper next door, agrees to pose as his wife. Surly teen Casey (Emma Roberts) and dorky wannabe customer Kenny (Will Poulter) play their kids. Piling aboard a shiny new RV, this unlikely 'family' embark on a weekend adventure that none of them will forget in a hurry! Grown Ups 2

Now Lenny has decided to move his long-suffering wife (Salma Hayek) and kids back to his rural hometown. Of course, this also means hooking up with his old buddies once again. So the stage is set for a series of riotously funny encounters with bullies old and new, a crazy cop and even crazier wildlife. As the last day of school looms, these arrested adolescents find themselves in need of some life lessons - from their own children!

The Wolverine

The exotic background of Japan lends a mystical quality to the rip-roaring comic-book action - as the razor-clawed hero goes head to head with samurai culture in spectacular fashion!

Red 2

Last Thursday I went to see Red 2.

Bruce Willis and his elite old-timer operatives return in an explosive sequel to the hit action-comedy. Former black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) is just beginning to enjoy the comforts of retirement with his girlfriend Sarah Ross (Mary-Louise Parker). But all hell breaks loose once again when ever-paranoid fellow retired agent Marvin Boggs (John Malkovich) re-enters his life. They need to recover a portable nuclear warhead that was smuggled into Moscow during the Cold War by scientist Edward Bailey (Anthony Hopkins). Unfortunately, Bailey has spent the last 32 years in an asylum for the criminally insane. To complicate matters further, MI6 has instructed gun-wielding Victoria (Helen Mirren) to kill Frank! Now the globe-trotting mature agents must use their old-school skills to take on an army of foes in Paris, London and Moscow. Catherine Zeta-Jones joins the incredible A-List cast for this hilarious, thrill-packed sequel to the 2010 sleeper hit.

The Heat

Last Thursday I went to see The Heat.

Chalk and cheese law enforcers hunt down a drug lord in an arresting comedy from the director of 'Bridesmaids'. Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) is a no-nonsense FBI Special Agent who likes to do things by the book. Uptight, humourless and controlling, she's no team player and deeply unpopular with her fellow Feds. Roly-poly Boston cop Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy) couldn't be more different. Foul-mouthed, rule-bending and streetwise, she has bad guys in fear of their lives. So when the deeply incompatible twosome are teamed up to take down a notorious drug lord, sparks quickly begin to fly! But as they work the case, an unlikely friendship starts to develop. 'Bridesmaids' director Paul Feig and breakout star Melissa McCarthy team up once again for this brilliantly cast female cop buddy comedy. It also sees Sandra Bullock playing an FBI agent for the first time since the hit 'Miss Congeniality' films.

Frances Ha

Tonight I have been to see Frances Ha.

Indie queen Greta Gerwig stars in a warm, funny, perceptive comedy about a woman who's adrift in life. Sparky, klutzy, disorganised 27-year-old Brooklyn girl Frances (Greta Gerwig) describes herself as a dancer, even though she's not very good at it. But life is generally blissful in the apartment she shares with Sophie (Mickey Sumner). Boyfriends have come and gone, but Frances and Sophie have been best friends since college days. Now, however, Sophie is ready to move on and get serious about her career and current beau, Patch (Patrick Huesinger). Caught in something of a time warp, Frances begins to drift. Real-life couple Greta Gerwig and 'The Squid and the Whale' director Noah Baumbach previously worked together on 'Greenberg' and co-wrote the script for 'Frances Ha'. It's superbly photographed in monochrome as a homage to Woody Allen's classic, 'Manhattan'. It also boasts the first major film role for Sting's daughter, Mickey Sumner.
