Scorsese and DiCaprio team up again for the blackly comic true story of a hedonistic and corrupt Wall Street stockbroker. Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a clever young man with ambition to burn. For him, greed isn't just good - it's great! Mentored by Mark Hanna (Matthew McConaugey), Belfort proceeds to tear up Wall Street during the nineties. He works hard, earning nearly a million dollars a week. And he also plays hard, enjoying a blizzard of drugs, drink, sex, parties and expensive toys. But pride comes before a fall. And Belfort's 'pump and dump' boiler room scam is about to lead to a mighty comeuppance. Adapted by 'Boardwalk Empire' creator Terence Winter from Belfort's own memoirs, this 'GoodFellas' of the financial world has been a long-cherished project for director Martin Scorsese. He also collaborates with Leonardo DiCaprio for the fifth time. Watch out too for our own Joanna Lumley in a supporting role!
