Tonight I have been to see One Day.
Based on the phenomenal bestseller, Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess star in a love story spanning 20 years.
On 15 July 1988, University friends Emma (Anne Hathaway) and Dexter (Jim Sturgess) graduate and go their separate ways. Their lives - and loves - take radically different directions, but they've forged a bond that's destined to last. Over the next two decades, we revisit Em and Dex on the anniversary of their graduation - but will they share a happy ending? Author David Nicholls previously wrote 'Starter For 10', adapted for the screen in 2006. His later novel, 'One Day', was a critically acclaimed bestseller, which he's adapted himself for this film version. Fans of the book will be delighted to find that Danish director Lone Scherfig's follow up to her Oscar-nominated 'An Education' retains the all-important UK setting. And as she previously demonstrated in 'Becoming Jane', US star Anne Hathaway is a dab hand at the English accent.
